EYEMOUTH AMATEUR SWIMMING CLUB is a local swimming club based at Eyemouth Leisure centre, but also running weekly coaching sessions at The Swan Centre in Berwick. The club is run by a committee of parents and coaches on a voluntary basis.

WHO CAN JOIN?

Any child who can meet standard Bronze Squad entry requirements. Whether you just want to improve your technique, swim for fitness or to compete at various levels.
Children are expected to behave appropriately during training and competitions.

CLUB STRUCTURE

The club operates three different squads BRONZE, SILVER and GOLD. Which squad you enter is determined by a coach's assessment of your swimming ability. Swimmers are re-assessed regularly then move through the squad system as their swimming improves.

COMPETETIVE SWIMMING

Many of our members compete at various levels, but we are aware that competition is not for everyone, so swimmers just wanting to improve technique and fitness are warmly welcomed.

Swimmers wishing to compete at any level must be registered with SASA
The cost of this varies according to age (between £7 and £29) and must be renewed annually.

EYEMOUTH ASC holds its CLUB CHAMPIONSHIPS annually in June
(Only gala for which SASA registration is not required) and also a MIGHTY MINNOWS GALA in September, which is open to other local swimming clubs. These events are both held at Eyemouth Leisure Centre.

In addition the club sends teams to many Local and Regional Galas and information about forthcoming events can be found on the club notice board at Eyemouth.
