History of Eyemouth Swimming Club

Eyemouth swimming club has been an amazing success story since it was founded in 1975 it has through the lesson/club system produced more than 50 Scottish finalists, British finalists, an Olympic swimmer, and a 2x Multi-sport World Age-group champion: fine achievement for a club which has long been regarded as one of the best rural clubs in Scotland, and fine testimony to the high standard of coaching at the club.

Such was the interest in the first club night in 1975 some 200 swimmers were on poolside led by Duncan McCrae the centre manager.
